Rules quiz
How much of Heat: Pedal to the Metal do you still remember? Each question opens on its answer.
What must you do if you want to shift two gears at once, such as from first to third?
You must announce it and pay 1 Heat right away.
When a Stress card is played, how do you work out how much Speed it adds?
You flip cards off the top of your deck, discarding them until you hit a Basic card, and that Basic card goes into your Play Area and adds its value to your Speed.
Does Slipstream movement count toward your Speed when checking corners, and can it take you across the finish line?
Slipstream does not add to your Speed for corners, and it can never be used to cross the finish line or after you have crossed it.
What happens when you spin out because you cannot pay the full Heat for exceeding a corner's Speed Limit?
You pay all the Heat you have, move back to the first available space before that Corner Line, take 1 Stress card if you were in first or second gear or 2 if you were in third or fourth, and drop to first gear.
Which cards are you not allowed to discard from your hand at the end of your turn?
You may discard any cards except Stress and Heat cards.
